On the evening of January 7, 2025, a fire was sparked in Eaton Canyon in the San Gabriel Mountains which quickly devastated the surrounding communities below it – particularly the area of Altadena, CA. Under investigation of the probable causes of the fire, signs have pointed to the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON (SCE) POWERLINES which many have reported were the first to catch flame in the ensuing devastation. The Eaton Fire destroyed more than 9,000 homes/businesses and forced the evacuation of the majority of community members in the surrounding areas.
